We will purchase tickets for the ferry ride to Fort Delaware which is on Pea Patch Island. Fort Delaware is nestled along the Delaware River, this former Civil War camp held thousands of Confederate solders. If time permits, we may travel to Fort Dupont off of Route 9 or wander around the village of Delaware City. Those who would like can stay for lunch as a group or on their own. .

Directions: From I - 95 South take exit 11 for I-495 South towards the Port of Wilmington. Take exit 1 for US-13 South towards Dover, keep right at the fork, follow signs for US-13 South /Airport/Dover. Keep left to stay on US-13 South, Turn left on Hamburg Road then turn right onto DE-9 South, Turn left to stay on DE-9 South, Turn left onto Clinton Street. Bring Water and snacks.
